In the inscription he refers to this exhibition as his "French circulating show," asks their opinions of the catalog, thanks them for a copy of Surrealism and Its Popular Accomplises, and orders four more Surrealist books. ; Square 8vo 8" to 9" tall

Wraps, near fine with tiny tear / bump at foot of spine. Signed and inscribed "for Franklin and Penelope [Rosemont], Surrealist Salutations and best wishes for a New Year. Here's hoping it will see the crushing of Reagan." Signed with his initials. He has added a PS promising to telephone, and on the front wrap in the lower right corner, he directs them to a certain page of the catalog. On that page, he brackets the entry that refers to a certain photograsph, "Apparition of Disaster No. 1." Laid in is the 3-page program notes. ; Small 4to 9" - 11" tall; 54 pp

Wraps, a very good copy with rubbing and corner creases on rear wrap, and small corner crease and short wrinkles at the staples. This copy is signed and inscribed by Laughlin to Franklin Rosemont in 1975. In the later 1970s, Laughlin came to identify himself more and more with the Chicago Surrealists. An interesting association copy: Toward the end of his life, photographer Clarence John Laughlin identified quite strongly with the Chicago Surrealist Group, and this was a favorite book of his. This copy is signed and inscribed by Laughlin to leading American surrealists, Franklin and Penelope Rosemont. "To Franklin and Penelope, lovers of strange analogies...The book philosophically investigates parallels and relationships between humans and insects." ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 127 pp
