Very good. This is an international scrapbook made by a Cub Scout c. 1961. There are 12 glossy 8 x 10" captioned publicity photograps of Abe Saperstein and / or the Globetrotters. Abe Saperstein packing for a trip; Saperstein looking out at rice fields in Singapore; Meadowlark Lemon holding three basketball, towering over Saperstein who holds only one; Sapersein adding a trophy to his trophy cabinet; Meadowlark Lemon, TV star Ed Sullivan and Saperstein watching a Czech folk dancer; Saperstein standing with large suitcase; Saperstein viewing a giant floral clock in Geneva; Saperstein at League of Nations Building; two shots of Saperstsein and Prince Philip (UK) , one holding a basketball and another meeting two Globetrotter players in uniforms; several duplicates. ¶ Sixteen 11 x 13" posters, once folded and tipped to scrapbook pages, announcing Globetrotter appearances in various countries (Rumania, Havana, Port of Spain, South America, England, Ireland, Switzerland, Germany, North Africa, Middle East, etc). Most of these posters show pictures of press clippings, often in foreign languages, raving about the team, along with photos of the team or its stars in action, Some just show clippings, with Saperstein or members of the team, but without mentioning a country. One boasts of having visited 69 countries. There is also a 5 x 8" color poster for an appearance in the UK. The posters have been tipped in by tape, which has browned, but is mostly visible on the versos and barely visible, if at all, on the design side of the posters. Each is folded once to fit into the scrapbook. At the front and in the rear of the scrapbook are sections of newspaper clippings, all aged but none fragile, many folded. These clippings are both domestic and international. Extra postage may be required for heavy or oversize books.
