String-tied signatures, very good with corner crease to lower rear corners. This is (likely) the greatly expanded edition of the same author's Look before You Leap into Another Great Bore, also published in 1868. In a prefatory note, the author states, "In the following pages, I have made free use of papers I have heretofore laid before the public." The Hoosac Tunnel construction took place between 1851 and 1875, the final cost of $21 million being 10 times the estimated cost. It ran near the Northwest corner of Mass, near North Adams, in the Hoosac Mountain Range, an extension of Vermont's Green Mountains.; 8q; 96 pp
