Lydenberg, Director of the New York Public Library since 1928 and holder of that office until 1941 when he retired. The rear wrap contains four small advertisements for neighborhood restaurants and no other ads appear except for a notice of an informal dance to be held in June, sponsored by the Library Workers Union.
