This heavily publicized event is still remembered as a significant historical landmark of anti-war protest, led by Abbie Hoffman, Jerry Rubin and others. Single leaf, 12¾ x 20", featuring portraits of the five anarchists who were due to be hanged November 11, 1887. Five black and white portraits assembled on an off-white sheet. At the foot of the poster is a block of text giving context and history to the portraits. A previous owner has creased the poster so the text block does not show when framed (12¾ x 17") However it will be framed, this is a very good+ with one folded corner poster, but for the horizontal crease 3" from the bottom edge. Poster printed on stiff card stock, saved from destruction only because a hunter used the blank verso to mount his photo of himself next to the deer he just shot. Soiling on both sides, mostly from old glue, some aged rippling, corners bumped, two have small creases, one repaired.
