This copy signed by "Scottsboro Boy," Clarence Norris, one of the best known of the nine black youths who were falsely accused an tried repeatedly in Alabama in for a fabricated rape case. The victims' ordeal began in 1931 and various defendants were tried, usually separately. Norris was paroled in 1944, but he broke parole by leaving the state and he was returned to prison.
